In the seventh video of this series, Homampour Law Firm Attorney Arash Homampour highlights that his firm has been paperless for over 20 years. This has allowed many of his attorneys, paralegals and staff to work remotely. Therefore, when the Covid pandemic hit, it was business as usual for the firm and they did not have to skip a beat.

Our law firm has been paperless for over 20 years, and we have encouraged and allowed a number of employees, even attorneys and paralegals, to work from home. Why? Because to me, as the owner of the law firm, it really doesn’t matter where the person is. It doesn’t matter if they’re in their pajamas as far as I’m concerned, of course unless they’re in court, it really doesn’t matter what’s going on other than the work is done and it’s done right. And so whatever makes an employee more comfortable, or facilitates their ability to work, it’s fine by me.
And so we have employees that have worked from New York, from Spain, from Colorado, all remotely, and the reason we’re able to do that is because we are 100% paperless. Everything is able to be done via computer, including phone calls. And so when the pandemic hit and offices had to be shut down, there really wasn’t that much of a change to the way we run our firm in terms of having employees work from home. So for us, remote working has always been a way of working, and it’s worked for us.
